FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What do I need to bring when collecting a van?
You’ll need your full UK driving licence, proof of address from the last 3 months, a DVLA check code (if requested), and a payment method for the £250 refundable security deposit.
2. How old do I need to be to hire a van?
Drivers must be 25–75 years old and hold a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years.
3. Is insurance included in the hire price?
Yes, fully comprehensive insurance is included for the named driver(s). This excludes negligence, tyre/windscreen damage, lost keys, or theft caused by leaving keys in the vehicle.
4. Do you take a deposit?
Yes — a £150 refundable security deposit is required when booking. It’s refunded once the van is returned on time, in good condition, and with the correct fuel level.
5. Can I add an additional driver?
Yes, additional drivers can be added for a small fee. They must meet the same licence and age requirements.
6. Is mileage included?
We include a fair mileage allowance with all hires. If you’re planning a long trip, let us know and we’ll advise on mileage options.
7. Can I take the van outside Wales or the UK?
Travel within England, Scotland, and Wales is allowed. Travel outside the UK may require additional insurance, so please contact us before booking.
8. What fuel do the vans use?
All vans in our fleet run on diesel. You must return the van with the same fuel level as when collected.
9. What happens if I return the van late?
Late returns may incur an additional charge and could affect the refund of your deposit. Please let us know as early as possible if you’re running behind.
10. What if I’ve never driven a van before?
No problem — most customers are first-time van drivers. We’ll give you a quick walkthrough of the controls and best driving tips before you leave. Our vans are very easy to handle.
